V60 vs Cafetiere: Which Should You Buy?

A cafetiere is the easier starting point – coarse grind, four minutes, press, done, and forgiving of small mistakes. A V60 takes more attention (pour rate, grind size, bloom time all matter) but rewards you with a cleaner, brighter cup that shows off a good single origin better than immersion brewing does. If you only drink coffee to wake up, get a cafetiere. If you actually taste it, the V60 starter kit is worth the learning curve.
